Bureau of Reclamation to lead Lake Powell Pipeline reviews

Due to changes in the proposed Lake Powell Pipeline, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has been given lead agency status to shepherd the completion of the project Environmental Impact Statement. These efforts represent a significant step forward towards compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. The proposed 140-mile pipeline would transport as much as 82,249 acre-feet of water from Lake Powell to the rapidly growing areas of Southwestern Utah.
